She retired with a visual challenge, after working with the exceptional, special needs population of the Lucas County Board of MR/DD for 13 years. Her steady path for a new career finally led her full circle to the holistic health field. Sonya Dawn comes from a family tradition of holistic life choices. She believes her health is pretty good now due to the herbs and supplements of her Mothers medicine cabinet and her Father's rich knowledge of philosophy and Eastern religions and practices. She coins herself as "a life-long Yogini", due to her love of stretching and deep breathing. "It was Yoga, I just did not know it at the time", she says.
Sonya Dawn has served on the South Toledo YMCA Board and is an Ohio Healthy U Co-Leader, a 6 week health seminar to assist persons with chronic conditions, their care-givers and family, manage their health concerns
